The Final Gala of this year’s edition of the competition took place on June 17, 2024 in Krakow at the Auditorium of the University of the National Education Commission.
The ceremony of awarding Newton statuettes to the creators of the best films was attended by His Magnificence the Rector of UKEN, Professor Piotr Borek, and the Vice-Rector for Science, Professor Michał Rogoż. Among the invited guests was the Małopolski Education Superintendent, Dr. Gabriela Olszowska.
Out of dozens of films submitted to the competition, the Jury nominated 23 productions to participate in the Final Gala. Ultimately, 12 of them were awarded. In addition to statuettes, the winners received cash prizes funded by the Rector of UKEN and book prizes funded by, among others, by the Polish Mathematical Society.
