Brief description of the project: The project is a holistic approach to learning, combining elements of exact and humanistic sciences, and placing particular emphasis on scientific research into the effectiveness of teaching. It is an initiative focused on promoting science in society, while simultaneously highlighting the disciplines of mathematics and history. The main goal of the Project Team is to reach the largest possible audience, using modern technologies and creating educational materials adapted to the natural environment of school youth. The project involves organizing a competition in which participants create video materials aimed at popularizing mathematics and showing the effects of the “Laboratories of the Future” program. At the same time, it promotes awareness of the contribution of Polish science to global scientific development. The target group includes school youth aged 12-19, encouraging both those who do not participate in traditional science competitions, such as Subject Olympiads, and those who do. As part of the project, participants create video materials, often using mobile phones, which, in addition to substantive communication, also develops soft skills, such as teamwork, digital editing and creating scenarios. The project has the potential to be extended to the whole of Europe, which will allow young people to gain additional language skills. The project’s products will remain available online, ensuring long-term impact after the initiative ends. An important aspect is the fair and objective evaluation of the competition entries, with a multi-stage evaluation process, which guarantees transparency and stability of the evaluation criteria. The Competition Jury, consisting of representatives of the Project Team and external experts, nominates the entries for the Final Gala, where the authors of the nominated entries will meet in Krakow. In addition, the project assumes scientific research into the effectiveness of teaching in the fields of mathematics, history and interdisciplinary STEM education. This will be a significant contribution to the development of teaching methods and assessment of the quality of education. The project is an innovative way to promote education, motivating young people to develop their skills and passions in mathematics and history.
